Djioeva's supporters not to participate in repeated presidential election in South Ossetia

The repeated presidential election in South Ossetia will not take place, because Alla Djioeva will not take part in it; and her supporters will not go to vote. This was stated by Ms Djioeva herself.

Today, the incumbent president of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity has expressed an opinion that Djioeva should take part in the election and promised not to persecute her supporters. "This is my personal opinion, but the final word should be pronounced by the Supreme Court of South Ossetia," he said.

Mr Kokoity has also expressed hope that the dialogue with Djioeva will continue and will be constructive, the "Interfax" reports.

In her turn, Alla Djioeva has stated that personally she did not receive any proposals; however, in any case she was not going to give up her victory and agree to participate in the new election. "The seventeen thousand people who had voted for me will also no longer take part in the election. They told me more than once that they would not vote for anyone else," she said and noted that in this way the new election would be disrupted.

Besides, if her victory is not recognized, Djioeva is going to bring her supporters into the streets of Tskhinvali on the day of re-election – on March 25.

Alla Djioeva also said that she is very ill; she has high temperature; however, nevertheless, today she is going to continue consulting and communicating with her supporters, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
