On October 26, the Budyonnovsk District Court of the Stavropol Territory held its first session on the merits on the lawsuit of the NTV journalist, who was beaten when trying to film a report on the rape of a nine-year-old girl in Budyonnovsk hospital. This was reported by a representative of the court.

According to the source, the October 26 session listened to both parties and appointed the continuation for November 10, the "RIA Novosti" reports.

According to the journalist, he received a permission to film a report from the girl's mother; however, a hospital employee beat him and broke his camera.
