In Rostov-on-Don, opposition holds rally against parliamentary elections

On October 17, in Rostov-on-Don, eight activists of the oppositional movements "Left-Wing Front" and "People's Freedom Party" once again held a picket for cancellation of the illegal, according to their opinion, parliamentary election appointed on December 4. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Vladislav Ryazantsev, the organizer of the rally.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that such pickets in Rostov-on-Don were held by the opposition within the public campaign "Fictitious election - outside the law!" The organizers of the pickets urged people to self-exclusion from the voter lists and informed citizens about the formation of "the people's list" for alternative election.

"On this day, in front of the Don public library, eight oppositionists with posters "Boycott to fictitious election!", "Your election is a farce!", "Election without opposition is a crime!" called for the cancellation of the parliamentary election appointed on December 4. Besides, the opposition representatives distributed among citizens the leaflets "Putin. Corruption"," said Vladislav Ryazantsev, the coordinator of the movement "Left-Wing Front" in the Rostov Region, and added that the next such picket was also scheduled for Monday, October 24.
