Ivanishvili to appeal against deprivation of his Georgian citizenship and renounce his Russian citizenship

As reported by Eka Beseliya, the advocate of the businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili, the special order of the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili of citizenship deprivation will be challenged in the court, and Ivanishvili's French and Russian passports will be dismissed.

Today in the morning, Ms Beseliya demanded to immediately receive the legal act, by which Ivanishvili was deprived of his citizenship. During the day, she was presented with the official document signed by President of Georgia Saakashvili on deprivation of Ivanishvili's citizenship.

According to her story, by signing this order Mikhail Saakashvili "has admitted that he doesn't respect the Constitution of Georgia, internationally recognized legal norms and uses illegal methods against his political opponent."

The "Interfax" reports that Ms Beseliya is going to lodge a lawsuit against Saakashvili demanding to cancel the illegal order on Ivanishvili's deprivation of Georgian citizenship.

Kakhi Kaladze, the famous defender of the Italian football club "Genoa" and captain of the Georgian national team, has sharply criticized the policy of the incumbent President Mikhail Saakashvili and expressed his support to billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, who had decided to create his political party. Mr Kaladze added, "I am not a member of any political party, but wants to express his attitude to the ongoing developments in Georgia."
