Woman from Dagestan is suspected of false report about planted bomb

On October 9 in Dagestan, the police detained a 20-year-old resident of Kaspiisk, who is suspected of having called the police on duty unit and reported about an explosive device, allegedly planted in one of the trading houses located in I. Kazak Street of Makhachkala, the press service of the local MIA has reported.

Policemen inspected the trading house and found no bomb. The woman from Kaspiisk was brought for questioning to the police station of the Lenin District of Makhachkala, the press service has specified.

The fact has resulted in opening a criminal case under Article 207 - "deliberately false report about a terror act" - of the Russian Criminal Code. The detainee confessed of the offence; she faces a fine of up to 200,000 roubles or imprisonment for up to three years, the website of the MIA of Dagestan reports.
