During September 26-October 2, eleven persons perished in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from September 26 to October 2, the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus took at least 11 human lives; at least 10 persons were wounded.

These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The list of casualties includes seven civilians, three power agents, and one suspected member of the armed underground. All of them perished in Dagestan.

Nine policemen and one peaceful woman were injured. Eight of them suffered in Dagestan and two in Chechnya.

The week saw six terror acts and explosions, and two armed clashes. Ingushetia introduced the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime, where six suspected members of the armed underground were detained.

Three explosions were triggered in Dagestan, two in Ingushetia and one in Chechnya. They killed ten persons: seven civilians and three power agents. Nine law enforcers were injured.

During the week, at least 29 persons were detained on suspicion of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) or as militants' helpers: Eight of them in Chechnya, seven in Dagestan, six in Ingushetia, six in Krasnodar and two in Kabardino-Balkaria.
