Leaflets calling to protests disseminated in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, leaflets are being spread calling on residents of the republic to take part in a peaceful protest action – to keep the low beam of their cars on for three days, thus expressing a nationwide protest against the policy of regional authorities.

The leaflets, the full text of which can be found in the blog of Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the human rights organization "Mashr", run by him on the "Caucasian Knot", deal with the measures that can help Ingushetia.

The organizers of the action are Sarazhdin Sultygov, the former deputy chairman of the Ingush National Union "Daimokhk", and Kureish Kostoev, the former head of the administration of the municipal district Gamurzievo.

According to the organizers, "the head of Ingushetia should every day listen to offers of republic's businessmen; the authorities should establish close contact with civil society institutes; and it is necessary to restore the rights of residents of the Prigorodny District of Ingush nationality."

Also, the organizers of the action demand to "immediately restore citizens' right to self-nomination as candidates for deputies of all levels" and called on to support their action.
