In Krasnodar, authorities ban "Picket-19"

In the city of Krasnodar, law enforcement officers hampered holding the protest "Picket-19", notwithstanding the permission on the rally.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the action "Picket-19" was held in support of Article 19 of the Russian Constitution, which established the equality of all citizens of Russia before the law and trial. The last rally was organized by the activists of the interregional public movement "All are equal before the law and court" on August 19 in Krasnodar.

"The administration was notified about the action, and the organizers were not offered to change the place of the picket. The picketers have a notification letter with the administration's note on admission," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the representative of the public movement "All are equal before the law and court".

However, the local authorities and the law enforcement bodies treated the picket as illegal, since another public event was held at the building of the regional administration at that time.

Actually, another action was held on the site; however, small number of participants of that action failed to have any notification documents. The policemen intended to detain participants of the "Picket-19"; however, all participants provide explanations still, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
