Over one thousand bikers took part in a bike-festival in Novorossiysk

XVI International Bike-festival called “Epilogue” organized by “Night Wolfs” motorcycle club passed off at the sea front of Novorossiysk on August, 29. Head of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin arrived at the festival in the lead of a motorcade at the wheel of a three-wheeled “Harley Davidson”.

“Night Wolfs” is the first and the most well-known bike-club in the USSR and Russia. A great for a seaside city number of participants and spectators came to the sixteenth show of rocker  motorcyclists in Novorossiysk. According to the data of Krasnodar regional Administration, all in all about one thousand motorcyclists from Russia and Europe arrived in Novorossiysk. About 70 thousand spectators came to watch the bike-show.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War with a lot of medals, Cossacks wearing full uniforms, children and women were sitting on the tribunes in front of a cruiser, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” reports. 

“The Premier’s Harley was naturally going first. The “Surgeon” (in everyday life known as Alexander Zaldostanov) was proceeding to the left of him. The procession stretched out to one kilometer’s distance”, the “Commersant” correspondent describes the scene.

“You are nice guys to organize actions like this, - Putin addressed the bikers. – You do not merely entertain yourselves knocking around which is not bad by itself but you combine all these with patriotic actions our people need so much”, RIA “Novosti” reports.

The bike-show in Novorossiysk and Vladimir Putin’s participation in it are widely debated in Russian blogosphere. Bloggers emphasize political load of the festival. 

“All this pandemonium with dogs who portrayed malicious fascists at the wheel of motorbikes called forth some questions, - Аgile-roman writes in his LiveJuournal. – In particular, what kind of correlation is there among inherently asocial bikers’ movement, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and Putin personally?”.
