Kalinovskaya: the bailiffs and riot squad evicted and beat up the tenants of a house located at the route of Olympic highway

“The bailiffs and riot squad have entered the house No 25 in Veselaya street belonging to Vladimir Tkachenko and are beating up the tenants in front of their underage children’s very eyes”, Natalia Kalinovskaya, Chairperson of Territorial Public Self-government, reported.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” informed that on August, 18, the bailiffs and riot squad tried to enter the house in order to execute a verdict of the court. The tenants of the house located at the route of Olympic highway, a family with underage children, refused to leave the house declaring that the judgment of pulling down the house was unlawful.

“Ten minutes after the storm of the house began people wearing black dragged the men who were defending the house out and cruelly beat them up. They beat them with cudgels”, the owner of the house said.

According to Tkachenko, he has a headache and intends to visit a forensic expert to fix the traces of beating. “Tkachenko’s shirt is torn. The defenders of the house have dirty clothes on. It is raining in Sochi. Tkachenko’s children are going to spend this night in the street”, eyewitnesses of the incident said.

No comments from the bailiffs have been received yet.

Officials of the Administration of Sochi declared that the Administration of Adler district exceeded its authority in 1996 when issuing Tkachenko’s authorization on the ground area where the house was built and at the moment the house was condemned according to the judgment. The officials also said they “did not acknowledge themselves obliged to compensate the expenses on building the house or damages to Tkachenko’s family”.
