In Norway, body of Georgian girl lost in terror act was identified by her parents

In Norway, the search of the Georgian citizen, who disappeared after terror act of July 22, has been finished. The body of Tamta Liparteliani, which had previously been identified by the Norwegian law enforcement authorities by her fingerprints, was identified by the girl's parents.

Today, the information about the identification of Tamta Liparteliani's body was officially presented to the journalists by Nino Kalandadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. According to Ms Kalandadze, the girl's body with two bullet wounds in the back was found in the water. The 23-year-old Tamta Liparteliani was the only foreigner among the fifty missing persons.

The body has been already identified by the girl's parents. "She went for good. Tamta was intelligent, she had knowledge. She was brought here to express her opinion, nothing more," said Tamta's father Avto Liparteliani in his interview to the Georgian journalists. According to his story, he "met with the Minister of Defence and asked to hasten a process" to identify her daughter faster.

The terror act committed by the 32-year-old Anders Breivik took 76 human lives and left many questions in the Norwegian society. People criticize the law enforcement authorities. The Norwegian media publish a correspondence of a 16-year-old girl, who had been at the camp during the terror act, with her mother. In her sms-messages the girl wrote where she was hiding with her brother and asked her mother to call the police, because a madman shooting at people appeared on the island.

The above correspondence continued for about two hours. It proves that the police began to receive the calls immediately after Anders Breivik had opened fire on the people. Despite that, the law enforcement officers arrived at the camp only 1.5 hours after the terror act had started.
