Shevchenko: Zagra Kadimagomedova is ready for collaboration with the Committee for adaptation of gunmen

Zagra Kadimagomedova who was wounded in a special operation in Dagestanskie Ogni and delivered up her husband, a supposed gunman, to law enforcement bodies is ready to collaborate with the Committee for adaptation of gunmen in Dagestan. This was reported by member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, TV journalist Maxim Shevchenko.

On July, 25, President of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov had a meeting with Maxim Shevchenko where they discussed the special operation of July, 24, in Dagestanskie Ogni.

Magomedov expressed his disagreement with the first estimation of the event offered by Shevchenko on July, 24, when he declared that the actions of the members of power ministries during this special operation, “without an attempt of negotiation” were “not a mistake but a provocation aimed at destabilization of the situation in Dagestan” and there were no justifications of “the murder of a woman who was just coming out of her house by a sniper”.

“Not a single armed confrontation or special operation ever starts without an offer of negotiations. The situation was the same in Dagestanskie Ogni. In this case, as far as I could see, there was no firing at women and children. Those who carried out the operation entered into talks with the other party directly or through the relatives. It was first necessary to look into the issue and only then make statements. I will ensure punishment for those guilty”, Magomedsalam Magomedov declared.

Shevchenko, in his turn, said he changed his mind to some extent after visiting Dagestanskie Ogni and meetings with the participants of the events and the personnel of law enforcement bodies. “We arrived at the scene and established interaction with the bodies of law and order who had also encountered a situation of this kind for the first time. We can now say that there were no infringements of them and they acted entirely within legal boundaries”, Shevchenko stated.

Shevchenko brought Zagra Kadimagomedova’s statement to the meeting with him. In her message to head of Dagestan she promises not to commit any illegal of criminal actions from the moment on and declares her wish to collaborate with the Presidential Committee of the Republic of Dagestan for adaptation of the citizens who decided to stop terrorist end extremist activities to peaceful life.
