Relatives of Georgian citizen who disappeared in Norway appeal to Mikhail Saakashvili for help

Relatives of Tamta Liparteliani, a Georgia citizen, disappeared during the terror act at the camp on the Norwegian island of Utoeya, appealed to President Mikhail Saakashvili to help in her search.

"Her friends inspected the entire territory, visited all mortuaries and failed to find my daughter. I don't know, maybe she is in a hospital, maybe, she hid somewhere in a forest and got lost there, maybe, someone else hides her. I ask the President to help find her alive, she is my only daughter who got lost somewhere," said Leila Asatiani.

On July 22 in Norway a double terror act occurred. At first, a powerful explosive device was activated at the complex of the government buildings in the centre of the city of Oslo, where the office of the Norwegian Prime Minister was located. A few hours later a man in police uniform opened fire at a youth camp of the ruling Labour Party on the island of Utoeya near the Norwegian capital. As a result, 76 people were killed, about 100 people were injured.

Today Nino Kochorashvili, Consul of Georgia, arrived from Denmark to the scene of tragedy. She met with representatives of the local law enforcement agencies and reported that the search for Georgian student is continuing. According to the story of Natiya Chkhetiani, the second Georgian student recreating at the camp, during the terror act on the island she missed Tamta Liparteliani.

"On the road I saw panicked people and heard shots. When I went down to the shore, I saw the wounded people. On the shore I had the idea to jump into the water, but then I would lose an opportunity to find Tamta. While I was hiding under the rocks on the bank, a guy jumped into the water in front of me. He was killed during his jump, and he fell already dead in the water," Natiya Chkhetiani said live on the Georgian TV Channel "Rustavi-2".
