Two out of three Gafurov brothers, accused of riots in Zelenokumsk, convicted

The Soviet District Court of the Stavropol Territory passed a sentence upon three brothers named Gafurov, who were figuring in the case on engagement in a conflict with Cossacks in the city of Zelenokumsk in November 2010. Two brothers were sentenced to imprisonment terms, and the third one was acquitted.

The court sentenced Magomed Gafurov to a year of settlement colony, Issa Gafurov – to three years and six months of general custody colony, and Ayub Gafurov was acquitted.

The representative of the court stressed that civil actions against the defendants were granted by the court in part, the agency "Interfax-Yug" reports.

Now the convicted are kept at SIZO (pre-trial prison) of the city of Pyatigorsk, then they will be distributed to the colonies.
