Children from Circassian Diaspora in Turkey are happy with their visit to Adygea

During three weeks in Adygea 26 children and young people from the Circassian Diaspora in Turkey visited the town of Maikop, Shapsug villages, the mountainous part of the republic, Krasnodar, and the all-Russian camp "Orlyonok" (Eaglet) and Circassian villages of Lazarev district on the Black Sea coast.

Today the guests from Turkey flew home, the children expressed their desire to visit Adygea again.

The programme of the visit made the main emphasis on education – every day at the classes in a local school of Panakhs the children studied Adyg language, literature, history and etiquette.

"Even during short stay in Panakhs I stepped up considerably in my knowledge of the language," stressed Eskishekhir Dijan Tuguz, a student of the university's faculty of sociology.

"Only Adygs live in our area: however, unfortunately, this fact does not save us from the loss of language skills and culture, and we are concerned about it," said Farkhat Chepsin, the head of the delegation from Turkey and continued: "Many people wanted to visit Adygea."
