The parents of the children who sank in Yeisk appealed against the sentence of Yeisk court

The parents of the children who sank in Yeisk last year disagree both with the judgment agaist the teachers acknowledged guilty of their chilren’s loss and the actions of the court concerning the aggreived persons themselves.

On July, 1, Yeisk city court of Krasnodar region brought a judgment against Irina Ryabova and Alexey Bagryanrsev. They were sentenced to custody in a penal colony settlement for terms of 4 and 2,5 years respectively. The court also denied their right of work in the sphere of education for a three-years term.

Attorney Ludmila Aivar thinks that the righs of the aggreived were seriously violated in this crimanal case.

“The aggrieved entered a motion of considering their case by assize court but according to the protocol, the court granted their solicitation in part by deciding to interrogate them in a video conference regime while they had not entered such a motion”, the attorney said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Besides, according to her, members of the family of Usherenko acknowleged witnesses were not interrogated in a video conference regime. “They were not present at the trial for valid reasons because Irina Usherenko whose child had perished was outside the Russian Federation and was physically unable to participate in the session. Her right was not observed for she could not bear witness. Besides, they were not informed that the interrogation of the aggreived would be held in a video conference regime”, Ludmila Aivar said.

“In addition, the aggreived consider that the penalty administered on Bagryantsev and Ryabova was too light”, the attorney of the aggrieved added.

Ludmila Aivar also said that the appeal was submitted to Judicial Board on criminal cases of Krasnodar city court through Yeisk city court on July, 9.
