Dagestani "Chernovik" weekly to receive Bucerius Prize

At the ceremony to be held on June 15 in Oslo, Norway, the Dagestani weekly "Chernovik" (Draft) will be awarded the "Free Press of Eastern Europe" Prize named after Gerd Bucerius.

Apart from the "Chernovik", a mass media laureate is the news portal A1+ from Yerevan. Four journalists run for individual prizes: Zamen Khadji from Baku, and journalists from the Irkutsk Region and Belarus.

The laureates were defined by the international jury comprising Falk Bomsdorf from Berlin; Jo Groebel, Berlin; Gro Holm, Oslo; Stefanie Schiffer, Berlin; Theo Sommer, Hamburg; Michael Thumann, Istanbul; Reinhard Veser, Frankfurt am Main; and Vibeke Sperling, Copenhagen, as the portal named "Glavred" (Editor-in-Chief) reports.
