Opposition activist Sargis Atspanyan set free in Armenia

Today, Sargis Atspanyan, an active opposition figure, a French citizen and a veteran of the Karabakh War, was released from the penal institution "Vardashen" in Armenia.

Earlier, Arsen Babayan, head of the press service of the Department of Corrective Institutions of the Ministry of Justice, said: "The opposition activists Sargis Atspanyan and Murad Bodzholyan, who remain in detention, will be released upon expiry of their terms - on June 9 and 13, that is, the May 26 amnesty adopted by the National Assembly doesn't cover these two inmates."
