On June, 6, about 50 people held a picket in front of the Government of Adygeia in protection of animals demanding to build a garbage- processing plant and protesting against reorganization of the republican Ecologo-biological Center.

The picketers came out with slogans "The Third All-Russian action in protection of animals against cruel treatment", "We demand building a garbage-processing plant", "The land of Young Naturalists belongs to the people of Adygeia and its children".

Maikop municipal non-governmental organization of the All-Russian Nature Conservation Association became the organizer of the action. Representatives of LDPR, KPRF and "Yabloko" parties and the Unit of Slavs of Adygeia joined the picket.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the participants were protesting against reorganization of the republican Ecologo-biological Center (EBC). According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Adygeia, there is a plan of relocation of EBC to some buildings in the center of the town which have practically no land parcels necessary for classes with the pupils of the Center.

According to Bedanokov, a republican creative center for children and youth was being organized on the basis of vocational school No 3. With all these, the three major branches of activities. i.e. biological, tourist and technical design will be maintained.
