"Mashr" reports double reduction in murders committed in 2010 in Ingushetia

The human rights organization named "Mashr" has presented its annual report "Illusion of Law" about human rights violations in Ingushetia in 2010. According to the organization, in 2010, 13 residents of Ingushetia were kidnapped, 9 of them outside the republic; in 2009, the respective figures were 14 and 7.

According to the "Mashr", last year the number of murders in Ingushetia nearly halved: in 2009, 304 persons were killed, and in 2010 the figure was 160.

The report also notes that for many years local authorities have been ignoring human rights violations in the Prigorodny and Dzheirakh Districts of Ingushetia.
