Azerbaijan: literature of Jehovah's Witnesses confiscated from a local woman

In the house of Gyulnaz Nasirova, a resident of Lyankaran, 19 books of the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses were found and confiscated.

The literature of Jehovah's Witnesses was confiscated as a result of a joint raid undertaken by employees of the police division of Lyankaran, District Branch of Ministry for National Security (MNS) and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.

Nasirova herself was detained on charges of spreading the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses without a respective permit, the "Trend" writes.

The IA "APA" adds, with reference to the Azerbaijani MIA, that incident is under investigation.
