In Dagestan, entrepreneur offers to equip removed districts with solar modules

The innovative enterprise - the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Dagkremniy" - is mastering manufacture of solar modules from mono-crystalline silicon, which essentially exceed - by electricity generation capacity - all the prototypes currently available in the world market. This is stated by Idris Idrisov, the author of the know-how and Director General of the "Dagkremniy". His company is already equipping localities in Dagestan and Chechnya, where it is difficult to bring power by wires, with solar modules.

While the currently available in the world market 1 sq.m solar module generates some 150-160 watts of electric power, the module of the same size made by the "Dagkremniy" generates 200 watts. Idris Idrisov gave the details in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has designed a new technology of making the materials - mono-crystalline wafers for solar modules with the efficiency factor of over 20 percent. According to his story, the figure for the currently used modules does not exceed 17-17.5 percent. Idrisov has patented his design and now wants to implement the know-how as a profitable project in Dagestan.

The first solar power station in Makhachkala was installed in the Republic's Children Hospital. Solar modules were also installed in the Akhtyn District of Dagestan in the frontier settlement, in the village of Dubki, on one of the apartment blocks and on many private houses.

"We were approached by a farmer from a locality, where there is no electricity at all. They need 20 km of wire to bring electricity there. The farmer was told that it would cost twelve million roubles, plus further payments for consumed electricity. Our equipment, together with installation, cost him ninety-five thousand roubles. The farmer will now have five lamps, a TV-set, a wireless and a charging device in operation," says Idrisov.

According to his story, the LLC "Dagkremniy" is now loaded only by 40-45 percent; thus, the entrepreneur is looking for markets abroad.

Chechnya is among the regions, where they have agreed to install solar modules. It was decided to install solar modules and wind generators in 86 sheep sheds, which have no electricity, to the total sum of 70 million roubles.

According to Mr Idrisov, his company has opened its offices in Kabardino-Balkaria, Pyatigorsk, Astrakhan, next will be Volgograd, Berlin, Shanghai, Brazil and Costa Rica, where they expect to find new customers.

The author of the know-how, which allows increasing the capacity of solar modules, assures that his technology can also start manufacturing of solar chargers for mobile phones.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that technologies for extracting value from solar heat draw attention of other regions of Southern Russia. Thus, the Government of the Stavropol Territory had announced plans to build the Russia's first solar power plant in Kislovodsk. Astrakhan plans to build an energy-saving district by this June; and in the Volgograd Region the solar energy is already used to heat a district hospital.
