Mayor's office of Yerevan authorized a procession and meeting of the opposition

Mayor's office of Yerevan has allowed Tigran Karapetyan, leader of the National party, to hold a meeting and a procession. The meeting will start on May, 5, at 16:00, in an area neighbouring to Matenadaran.

The municipal authorities have also taken into account the notification of Chairman of Political Council of the National party of holding a procession routed Mashtots avenue - Amiryan street - Square of Republic.

It should be reminded that the meeting planned by Tigran Karapetyan for April, 10, was suspended till May, 3, because of a pelting rain, News.am reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that Mayor's office of Yerevan had at the same time repeatedly prohibited meetings. In particular, on April, 14, the municipal authorities refused Armenian Revolutionary Federation a permission of holding a meeting in Svobodi (Freedom) square on April, 23. The same decision was taken concerning the notification of Armenian National Congress (ANC) of holding a meeting on April, 28.

We will remind that Mayor's office of Yerevan also prohibited the oppositional party "Armenian National Movement" (ANM) holding everyday meetings in Svobodi square during the period from April, 20, till April, 24.
