Revenues of head of Kabardino-Balkaria grow 87 times within year

Governors of Russian regions continue disclosing their financial statements. Within the period from January 1 to December 31, 2010, the total earnings of Arsen Kanokov, head of Kabardino-Balkaria, amounted to 87,034,831 roubles. In 2009, he managed to earn only 1,003, 762 roubles. The incomes of other regional leaders are significantly lower.

According to Mr Kanokov's declaration, published on April 7 on the website of the administration of the republic, last year his wife and two children had no earnings at all; while his wife is ahead of Kanokov by the number of own cars. The declaration indicated that she owns an Audi and a Mercedes, while the head of the Kabardino-Balkaria has only one Mercedes.

Mr Kanokov is a very wealthy man - with his fortune of 18.3 billion roubles he it takes the 179th place in the list of Russian billionaires, compiled in February this year by the magazine "Finance".

In 2010, Valery Gaevskiy, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, according to his declaration, earned 260,000 roubles less (2.2 million) than in 2009; while his wife earned 306,000 roubles last year against 1.34 million roubles in 2009, the "Vedomosti" writes. However, there is no data about their bank accounts, where in 2009 the family held a total of about 5 million roubles.

Rashid Temrezov, head of Karachay-Cherkessia, also filed a declaration of his and family's incomes. His gross income in 2010 amounted, according to his press service, only to 854,000 roubles; Rashid Temrezov has no registered real estate and transport means in his ownership.

According to his declaration, published on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Khloponin, Deputy Prime Minister and Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), earned five times more than his boss Mr Putin; he owns lands in Russia and Italy, and has a huge fleet of cars.

Thus, according to declaration, for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2010, Mr Khloponin's income made 23,225,710 roubles. His wife's income was 93,350,176.86 roubles. The Khloponins jointly own several residential plots; besides, their possessions include two houses with auxiliary structures (677.7 square meters) in Russia and (818.4 square meters) in Italy, and apartment (132.9 square meters), a swimming pool (350.5 square meters) and a non-residential office building (1594.7 square meters).

Also, the family owns the following cars: Mercedes Benz CL 65 AMGA, Bentley Arranger, Jaguar-Daimler, trailer SHORE LAND-R PWC-1000, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Phantom-46 motorboat.

So far, there is no latest information about the incomes of the heads of Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia and Chechnya.
