Suspect of organizing mass disorders in Manege Square in Moscow detained

Today, law enforcers detained another supposed instigator of mass riots in Manege Square in Moscow on December 11, 2010, said a source from law enforcement bodies of the Russian capital.

"Georgiy Borovikov was detained on Monday (April 11) in Manege Square. He is currently kept at the police station," said the source. According to his story, Georgiy Borovikov is the leader of the nationalist movement "Memory" and had to do with organizing disorders in Manege Square on December 11 last year.

The above source has also said that today Manege Square, located in the very heart of Moscow, was patrolled by strengthened police units; however, no attempts to hold any unauthorized actions were registered; and no violations of public order were fixed, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Earlier, on April 5, in Moscow, another supposed Manege Square rioter - Muscovite Leonid Panin, 31, - was detained.

On March 26, two more suspects were detained within the criminal case on mass disorders in Manege Square: Kirill Unchuk, 22, a native of the Republic of Tatarstan; and Ruslan Khubaev, 34, a native of Murmansk.
