38 persons killed within a week in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from March 28 to April 3 at least 38 persons were lost in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus killing; at least three persons were injured, and one person was kidnapped. These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The list of casualties includes 30 suspects of involvement in the armed underground, six power agents, one civilian and Magomed Taisumov, a former chief of staff of the "Vostok" battalion in Chechnya. At least two civilians and one power agent were injured.

26 persons were killed in Ingushetia, seven in Dagestan, three in Chechnya and two more in Kabardino-Balkaria. Out of the three injured persons two were wounded in Dagestan and one in Ingushetia.

During these seven days eight armed clashes occurred; an air strike was undertaken on the camp of the armed opposition; two explosions occurred, and three attacks on civilians and two attempts on power agents were undertaken. One terrorist act - in Dagestan - was prevented.

In the last week's armed clashes at least 15 persons were killed. Of these, eleven are supposed members of illegal armed formations (IAFs), and four are power agents. One law enforcement employee was wounded.
