In Sochi, ecologist detained on Cape Vidny

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the "Ecological Watch" that Antonova tried to prevent the illegal, according to ecologists, cutting of the red-book Pitsunda pines on Cape Vidny, where the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "RZD" (Russian Railways) is running construction. The "RZD" securities brought the activist to the Khosta police department.

"Presently, an administrative protocol is being drawn up against her under the article of "disorderly conduct". The policeman who makes the protocol is threatening Gayane to arrest her if she refuses to sign an empty paper," the "Ecological Watch" has reported.
