Two residents of Dagestan killed during a special operation

Law enforcement officers established identity of the two men killed during a special operation in Makhachkala on March, 19, Informational center of National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reports. They had been preliminarily recognized as members of Khasavyurt group of gunmen.

On March, 19, security officials blocked a house where according to their statement there were two supposed gunmen. A regime of counter-terrorist operation (CTO) was established in the area of the special operation. According to the officers, the men in the house refused negotiations, opened fire and were killed as a result.

However, instead of a reply one of the men blocked in the house tried to break away from the cordon firing from a gun. His attempt turned out unsuccessful and he was killed by a precise hit. Some time later the other man in the house moved out raising his hands however in the doorway he snatched out a pistol and opened fire at the special squad soldiers after which he was killed, too, “Commersant” reports.

“The gangsters have been preliminarily recognized as members of a so-called “Khasavyurt” gunmen’s group. They were Damir Magomedov, born in 1985, resident of the village of Alkhojakent, Kajakent district, and Omar Magomedov, born in 1987, from the settlement of Matsalaul, Khasavyurt district”, NAC reports.

None of the enforcement agents or peaceful residents was injured as a result of the special operation, RIA “Novosti” reports.
