In Armenia, opposition newspaper appeals against court ruling on payment compensation to three MPs
The newspaper "Armenian Time" has refused to implement the decision of the general jurisdiction court prescribing to publish a refutation and pay compensations to three members of the national parliament. On March 9, the edition filed an application to the Court of Appeal an appeal against the verdict of the court passed on February 7.
The "Caucasian Knot" was told at the paper's office that at the moment nothing was known about any particular date of consideration of the counterclaim by the Court of Appeal.
Let us remind you that on February 7 the court of general jurisdiction of the Yerevan communities Centre and Nork-Marash, chaired by Judge Karine Petrosyan, partially satisfied the claim of three MPs, prominent businessmen, against the opposition newspaper "Armenian Time" (Aikakan Zhamanak) demanding payment of compensations worth two million drams to each of them for publishing false information.
