Eight Georgian citizens disappear in Japan

The Embassy of Georgia has contacted 27 out of its 35 citizens, who are now in Japan and live in the south, where the earthquake did not cause much damage.

The Disaster Centre and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Japan have no information on any affected citizens of Georgia. Among Georgian citizens there are athletes who cannot leave Japan because airports are flooded, the "GHN" reports.

In their turn, the citizens of Georgia, who now stay in Japan, accuse the Georgian diplomatic mission in that country of inattention. Thus, Georgian students said that the Embassy does not pay any attention to them and would not even answer their telephone calls.

Dzhaba Meskhishvili said that people are scared and do not know how to act. According to his story, they do not ask to take them away from Japan. They just seek support from the Embassy, and in case of recurrence of earthquakes - some guidance and advice, the "Georgia Online" reports.
