Bomb blows up near bus stop in Moscow, nobody hurt

An explosive device went off this evening at the bus stop near the FSB Academy in Michurin Avenue in Moscow. Nobody suffered. Militants or radical youth groups are considered as priority authors of the incident by law enforcement bodies.

According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the explosion was triggered at about 4:30 p.m. No injuries; several cars parked near the stop were slightly damaged.

Inspectors consider several versions of the explosion; in particular, they assume that it could be organized by North-Caucasian militants or supporters of radical youth groups. The former version is supported by the fact that the bomb was stuffed with striking elements.

Besides, according to a source from among law enforcers, it is possible that the "explosion was a sort of 'red herring' for a more serious crime."

Other versions include: a blast aimed against officers of the Federal Security Bureau (FSB); an act of hooliganism; and a certain demonstrative warning to special services, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
