Advocates of Natalia Estemirova's sister plan to file a complaint to the ECtHR

A complain against inefficient preliminary investigation into the murder in Chechnya of Natalia Estemirova, an employee of the HRC "Memorial", namely, against non-admission of victims' representatives to the required materials of the case will be filed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by advocates of Svetlana Estemirova, Natalia's sister.

"We asked for the materials on the check of the version of involvement of law enforcers to the extrajudicial executions of Albekov. They refuse to give them to us; and we believe that this is a violation," said lawyer Roman Karpinskiy.

"So far, a preliminary investigation is on; and we can get acquainted only with a small part of the case files," the lawyer has added. "Now, everything is in the same condition as it was, say, in the summer of 2010. A complaint to the ECtHR will be filed, I hope, by the end of March."

Zhabrail Abubakarov, the second lawyer of Svetlana Estemirova, reminded that the last cassation consideration was on December 22 at the Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic, where the complaint was rejected. "We have gathered our materials, pass them it to the HRC 'Memorial'; they will send them to the ECtHR," said lawyer Abubakarov.

Svetlana Estemirova was recognized as suffered party in the murder of her sister - human rights advocate Natalia Estemirova.
