5-year-old girl heavily wounded during killing of two women in Dagestan

According to the latest data, after the attack on the house of two women in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, a 5-year-old girl was hospitalized with a wound in the chest. Now, she is in grave condition.

Let us remind you that in the evening on February 19, in the village of Novosositli, Khasavyurt District, unidentified persons rushed into the yard of the house of Patimat Shikhalieva and shot her and her daughter Bella Kandaurova from automatic firearms. Both women died on the spot.

During the attack, a girl of five, under preliminary data - Bella's daughter - was wounded.

"A girl, born in 2006, who lived with the casualties, with a gunshot wound in her chest, was brought from the place of the incident to the central hospital of Khasavyurt," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Dagestani MIA.

According to preliminary reports, the perished women were engaged in alternative medicine and divination.

On the following day, February 20, in a village of Vinsovkhozny near Khasavyurt, a man, who rendered armed resistance, as power agents reported, was killed in the course of a special operation. There was a suspicion that he had to do with the murders of the two women in Novosositli.

As reported by Nikolai Sintsov, spokesman of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the liquidated suspect had belonged to the grouping of Adam Guseinov, who had been earlier assassinated by special agents of the FSB. "A Kalashnikov and a Stechkin pistol were found on the casualty. Investigators suggest that the female fortune-teller and her daughter had been shot dead from that pistol," said Mr Sintsov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dagestan had already seen attempts on the people engaged in fortune-telling and non-traditional medicine. On January 11 in Makhachkala unidentified criminals shot dead a woman of 47 who practiced divination and hoodoo removal; the murder was committed in the yard of a multi-storeyed building in Kosmodemyanskaya Street. On January 2, the people's healer Magomedsaid Temeyev was killed in his house in Makhachkala.

On March 16, 2008, in Khasavyurt, Gitinomagomeddibir Gamzatov, who treated people by non-traditional methods, was assassinated in his house. Members of the armed grouping of Askhab Bidaev, who had declared his war on fortune tellers and healers, were suspected of the crime. On December 10, 2007, also in Khasavyurt, two attempts on women engaged in fortune telling were undertaken there were. One of the women died and the other was seriously injured. According to her story, the assailants told her that divination is non-godly activity and deserves execution.
