South-Ossetian citizens released from Georgian prisons knew nothing about today's exchange of prisoners

According to his story, through the whole period he had never been visited by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) or the European Union (EU).

"At my detention I was severely beaten by Georgian law enforcers. I was accused of killing a group of people whom I'd never seen, and don't know who they are," said Driaev.

Sometimes we were visited by Red Cross and EU officials. They promised to help and brought necessary medications, as I have heart problems," said Khachirov.

His wife Venera Tibilova says, all in tears, that she had no hope to see her husband alive.
