Rostov Regional Prosecutor's Office warns Cossacks for uprising initiative
Valery Kuznetsov, Prosecutor of the Rostov Region, has passed a warning to the organization named the "Don Cossack Republic", existing since 2008, but unregistered by regional justice, about inadmissibility of extremist activity - for their initiative of an uprising and creation of a new entity within the Russian Federation.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the Regional Prosecutor's Office, the "Don Cossack Republic", headed by its leader - Ataman Alexander Yudin - promoted the idea of a territorial entity within the Russian Federation on the basis of sovereign ruling.
"They have established the body, named Supreme (Big) Circle and intended to address the most important issues, including citizens' litigations. Yudin and activists of his 'Republic' are holding unauthorized public rallies, print and distribute illegal materials, in particular, the draft of the 'Constitution of (Written) Maidan of Cossack Republic'," told the press service of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The Office also added that the disseminated literature contains a threat of rebellion.
