GUVD of Krasnodar Territory does not confirm attack on Dymovskiy

According to Igor Zhelyabin, militia spokesman of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) for the Krasnodar Territory, there was no attack on Alexei Dymovskiy, former militia major and now the leader of the movement named "White Tape": Alexei just fell asleep in a fixed-route taxi; and his cell phone was stolen.

The news that yesterday, on February 1, at about 9:40 p.m., on the way from Anapa to Novorossiysk, Dymovskiy was attacked in a fixed-route taxi was posted on the Internet by his supporters. "Alex is safe, but with a traumatic brain injury," the dymovskiy.name runs.

According to the GUVD spokesman, Dymovskiy "wrote an application only on the fact of his missing cell phone; nothing is said there about beating." Mr Zhelyabin said that militiamen "saw the posts on forums about the beating," the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

"However, since the victim didn't mention the fact of beating in his application, we talked to the taxi driver only about the missing phone," said the spokesman. "Militiamen have already found and questioned the driver. He told that he arrived on Tuesday evening to the terminal station and saw that one of the passengers, namely, Dymovskiy fell asleep in the saloon. He woke him up and offered to go home."
