Father of Dagestanian detained in Italy is unaware of his son's whereabouts

Rasul Magomedov, a resident of the village of Balakhany and father of Anvar Sharipov, whose detention in Italy was announced by some media, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he had long been unaware of his son's whereabouts. Law enforcement officials believe that it was Sharipov who accompanied his sister-suicide bomber, when she blew herself up at the Lubyanka Moscow metro station on March 29, 2010.

Let us remind you that on January 31 Italian authorities refuted the earlier spread information about detention of Ruslan Umarov, 35, a brother of North-Caucasian rebel leader Dokku Umarov, saying that the detainee was identified as a citizen of Tajikistan. However, on February 1 it became known that the man detained in Italy was the brother of Maryam Sharipova, who blew herself up in the Moscow metro.

"During the last year Anvar didn't call me; he occasionally got in touch via the Internet but gave no information about where he was. We just exchanged general phrases," said Rasul Magomedov.

Let us remind you that on January 17 he complained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about persecution of local and federal law enforcers of his two sons - Anvar and Ilyas Sharipov.
