Georgian TV "Maestro" to be on air since January 10

The TV Company "Maestro" will partially resume its broadcasting on January 10. However, no money for full-scale operation has been found yet.

"We're visiting our relatives and friends, borrow money and gradually cover the municipal debts," said Mamuka Glonti, the founder of the "Maestro". According to his story, he's going to meet his channel team and ask them to work without salary at the first stage.

Mr Glonti said that since January 10 the TV Company will restore all the previously broadcast programmes, except for newscasts. Currently, the channel works, but re-broadcasts mainly its old programmes.

According to his words, now any individual can sponsor the "Maestro". "Anyone, who is not a criminal, is not in jail and who is ready to unselfishly invest in the progress, can be our sponsor, be it a politician, a singer, a member of the 'National Movement', or Mikhail Saakashvili," the "News-Georgia" quotes the founder.

Kakha Bekauri remains Director General of the TV Company, since the owners rejected his resignation petition, the "Georgia Online" reports.
