Azerbaijan: Russian officer was killed by his guests, inspectors assert

The Russian officer Sergey Grachov, an employee at the Gabala Radar Station in Azerbaijan, was killed by his co-workers at night on January 1, after celebration of the New Year. His apartment was robbed, said a source from law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan.

The information about the murder of the Russian officer arrived in law enforcement bodies on January 2; and then Azeri investigators found decapitated body of Major Sergey Grachov, 47, in his apartment.

For some reason, not yet clarified, after the celebratory tableful a fight burst out between the owner and his guests. As a result, the officers killed Sergey Grachov, took away the money and gold ornaments that were in his flat and went away, said a source from law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan.

Now, Russian officers are questioned, the Azeri Information Agency "APA" reports.

So far, the Russian party gave no comments on the incident.
