Fair Elections expresses indignation about fire on flat of Iberiya TV Company journalist

The Fair Elections non-government organization expresses indignation about the fire on the flat of Lyuba Eliashvili, an Iberiya TV Company journalist and television presenter, and demands that appropriate bodies immediately react to this fact. The organization announced it in its statement made on November 27.

"Freedom of speech and mass media is one of the most important democratic achievements, and so any pressure on the journalists and media is inadmissible in the state that declares democratic principles," reads the statement. Fair Elections voices its protest concerning the occurrence and calls upon all the Georgian public to stand up for the freedom of speech.
