Names of casualties of special operation in Dagestan defined

The persons liquidated during the special operation in Shamkhal village, Kirov District of Makhachkala, have been identified. They are Badrudi Rasulov and Maksud Ismailov, suspected of attempts on law enforcers.

Let us remind you that today in the morning power agents blocked a private house in Naberezhnaya Street in Shamkhal, where, according to their data, two militants were hiding. At 8:40 a.m. Moscow time in the area of the special operation the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced.

According to the Information Centre of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee, the militants responded with machine-gun fire to the proposal to surrender and tried to break through the cordon; they were killed by response fire.

The ITAR-TASS reports that several grenades of various modifications and two Kalashnikovs were found on the liquidated militants.

They are suspected of involvement in the crimes related to attempts on and murders of law enforcement officers. There are evidences that they were members of the so-called "Makhachkala subversive and terrorist grouping" the "Interfax" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on December 26 the CTO regime was also introduced in Makhachkala. Special fighters of the FSB and MIA blocked the apartment, where supposed militants were hiding. According to power agents, in response to the proposal to surrender, they also opened fire on law enforcers. In the course of the operation, eight persons were killed, including a militants' leader - Magomed Sheikhov, 27, supposedly, Amir of militants of Makhachkala. Six explosive devices were later found in the location of the skirmish.
