President of Azerbaijan showed mercy to 92 people

On Wednesday, December, 29, Ilham Aliev, President of Azerbaijan, signed a direction of mercy to 92 people.

"Caucasian Knot" has already reported that on December, 27, a Commission of Forgiveness under the President of Azerbaijan submitted to Aliev's consideration a list of persons who had appealed for amnesty in connection with the Day of December, 31, Solidarity Day of all the Azerbaijanis of the World, and the New Year's Day. There were about 300 people on the list.

According to the direction of the Head of Azerbaijan, 71 people were released from serving their remaining penalty term. Besides, 15 more persons sentenced to limitation of pretrial freedom by the courts and a person who had got a suspended sentence were also released.

Five more people were released from fine payment. Among those forgiven there are four people from Bangladesh and two citizens of Pakistan, RIA "Novosti" reports.
