In Dagestan, driver wounded by militiamen during detention

In the city of Izberbash, Dagestan, militiamen opened fire at a Mercedes car, the driver of which did not obey militiamen's command to stop. As a result, one person was wounded and three others detained.

As reported by the spokesperson of the Dagestani MIA, the incident occurred on Wednesday night, on December 22, in the settlement of Primorskiy, the city of Izberbash, when employees of the criminal search and the special militia detachment of the Dagestani MIA tried to stop a Mercedes with no license plates.

The driver would not obey; and to stop the car, militiamen used their service firearms. As a result, the driver was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in his chest. Three passengers of his Mercedes were brought to the OVD, the "Interfax" reports.

Two pistols, a hunting carbine "Saiga-MK-03" and ammunition were confiscated from the detainees. A criminal case was initiated under the article of "illegal possession of firearms," the "Rosbalt" reports.
