Three militiamen wounded in armed clash with militants in Dagestan

In the course of a special operation in the village of Kirovaul, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, which is conducted within the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, announced here on December 5, three law enforcers were wounded.

It was reported earlier that an OMON (special militia) fighter was lost in a skirmish; besides, a boy of nine, who was one kilometre away from the venue, was killed by an occasional bullet; a fire fighter was also wounded.

"In the course of armed clashes, a militiaman and a young local resident died from received wounds. Also, three local law enforcers were hospitalized with gunshot wounds," the "Interfax" quotes the Investigatory Committee of the Republic of Dagestan.

Six suspected militants were liquidated in the above special operation in Kirovaul, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, conducted on December 6.

Two casualties have been identified - Sapigula Khaibulaev, 27, a Chontaul villager, and Magomed Mirzaev, 21, who lived in the village of Komsomolskoe. Earlier, power agents said that Yusup Magomedov, one of the leaders of the local armed underground, was among those liquidated.
