A teenager in Dagestan identified the militiamen who had beaten him up

On November, 26, in the Prosecutor's office of Sovetsky district of Makhachkala, Dagestan, a procedure of identification of the militiamen who at the end of June beat up a fourteen-year-old Makhmud Akhmedov, took place, the teenager was taken to hospital as a result of beating.

The boy identified the militiamen who had beaten him up and answered the investigator's questions in the presence of his mother and an interpreter.

It became clear that the district militia officer Magomed Magomedov, officers of the Department of Interior Affairs of the village of Khebda Gamzat Nurudinov and Shamil Magomedov and the driver of the militia car Aliashab Naruchinov had been involved in the beating, "Memorial" Human Rights Center reports.

The district militia officer Magomed Magomedov who detained the boy, in his turn, submitted a cross-claim according to part 2, clause 129 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation (diffusion of deliberately false information discrediting honour and merit, damaging one's reputation in mass media).

Bakanay Guseinova, the boy's attorney, has formerly explained a reporter of "Caucasian Knot" that Magomed Magomedov stated that the boy's parents had calumniated him and he said that the boy had invited himself into the militia car for a drive and nobody had beaten him.

The judge passed a resolution of accepting the statement of the district inspector of the Department of Interior Affairs in Shamil district of Dagestan, acknowledging him sufferer and Makhmud's parents defendants. Then in connection with the fact that criminal proceedings had been started against the militiaman himself according to clause "abuse of authority" hearing the case was deferred for an indefinite term.
