Son of former head of forensic-medical examination bureau assassinated in Kabardino-Balkaria

On November 25, in the village of Kenzhe, a suburb of Nalchik, at the gate of his house, a local resident Timur Mechukaev, 33, was shot dead; he was a son of Azret Mechukaev, former head of the Republic's Bureau of Forensic-Medical Examination.

"The murder was committed around 7:30 p.m. by unidentified persons at the gate of the household in Katkhanov Street in the village of Kenzhe. The criminals used calibre 9 mm firearms," a source from local law enforcement bodies told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Mechukaev was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

A criminal case was opened on the fact under Articles 105 (murder) and 222 (illegal arms circulation) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Mechukaev did not work anywhere; he had a wife and two children. Currently, the Bureau of Forensic-Medical Examination of Kabardino-Balkaria is headed by the casualty's brother - Alikhan Mechukaev, his father Azret Mechukaev also continues working here after retirement, the portal "Kabardino-Balkaria. World and We" wrote.
