Reception offices of Russian President opened in South of Russia

By November 22, practically all the regions of Russia's South, as well as the rest of the country, opened reception offices of Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. The only exception is the Chechen Republic, where the building, appointed for the reception office, has not been repaired yet.

The premises of the open reception offices have been properly repaired; the rooms are equipped with the necessary furniture, office equipment and video conferencing facilities. This is stated in the message of the department on domestic policy of the machinery of the plenipotentiary representative of the Russian President in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), which arrived to the "Caucasian Knot" office.

In Chechnya, the President's reception office will be officially opened in the end of 2010.

According to Dmitri Medvedev himself, his reception offices should change the very approach to dealing with people's applications. In the opinion of the President, citizens should be able, by means of electronic technologies, to monitor the progress of their applications: through websites and electronic reception offices to be opened in 48 regions of Russia. As noted by Dmitri Medvedev in the official website of the Russian President, exchange of information should be organized between the President's reception centres and public services centres, now set up in the regions.
