Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reveals numerous law violations in implementation of national projects

In 2010, the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office has detected more than three thousand law violations committed in the course of implementing national projects. Now, 16 criminal cases are investigated on facts of budget embezzlement and under other articles of the Criminal Code.

In January-October 2010, in total 3066 violations were revealed against 2107 violations for the same last year's period.

Most violations were fixed in educational and healthcare projects. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan that the checks resulted in 149 presentations prescribing to eliminate law violations; 82 persons were brought to administrative responsibility; and 16 criminal cases were initiated as the follow-up of prosecutors' checks.

"In particular, we revealed facts of embezzlement of the budgetary funds allocated for national projects 'Affordable and Comfortable Housing - to Russian Citizens' and 'Development of Agricultural-Industrial Complex'. Cases were revealed of drawing up false medical documents on citizens' passing health surveys, although they never passed them," the Prosecutor's Office reports.

As noted by the Office, many medical institutions still see facts of inefficient use of medical equipment, which had been purchased without prior preparation of appropriate rooms and training of respective specialists.

In education, main violations referred to operation of non-licensed institutions. Besides, facts were revealed in some schools of late payment of bonuses for class tutorship and inefficient use of school equipment.
