Two persons killed in Armenia proved to be Russian border guards

At the disposition of Russian frontier troops in Yerevan, two guards from Russia were found dead. Earlier, the press service of the Armenian Police had mistakenly treated them as contract servicemen from the Russian military base stationed in Armenia.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of the murder; the inquiry is conducted by the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia. No details are disclosed, the ITAR-TASS writes, referring to the Frontier Department.

According to some sources, the main version of the investigation is the murder of jealousy, the "Zhamanak" newspaper reports.
