The sappers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have finished their work in Chechnya
The personnel of the Center of Rescue Operations of Special Risk "Leader", MES of Russia, have accomplished their work on mine clearing in the territory of Chechnya. The sappers of "Leader" had been working in Chechnya since the middle of September this year.
"The personnel of the Center "Leader" of MES of Russia have finished their work on mine clearing in agricultural lands of Grozny district of the republic. Since the beginning of work in the middle of September of last year up to the recent days with the help of the method of solid mine clearing the sappers have cleared 49 hectares arable lands off highly explosive objects. The main part of the work was carried out in the territory of "Zarya" state collective farm the area of which is now entirely mine cleared", an official of the republican MES said.
The interlocutor of "Caucasian Knot's" reporter emphasized that the sappers of MES of Russia, beside clearing the territory of "Zarya" state collective farm off highly explosive objects, have also mine cleared the area of "Jubileiny" enterprise. All in all the "Leader's" personnel during their mission in Chechnya have defused 219 highly explosive objects.
